Inghild Karlsen’s solo exhibition “Followers Persecutors” at Blaker showcases installation art, ink paintings, prints and sculptures.
The exhibition revolves around repetitions and symbols that reflect her own pursuit and development as an artist. She directs her attention to how we experience the digital flood of algorithms in a computer age we have never seen before. “Following the journey of the hand with the stroke of the brush in dialogue with water, whether in the form of paint, felting or plaster, gives an extra value these days that no screen can reproduce. Algorithms feel nothing.”
