Floating in Form and Time
Inghild transfers elements from one dimension to another, from form and time into a new dimension and a new concept in the future decade. A small everyday element becomes a sculpture in a public park or an installation incorporated into a theatre performance. Each new project reflects earlier work, recorded in the memory, and floating into new dimensions when reinvented.
Memory and recollection are crucial. Impressions are perpetuated by photos, captured on videotape, or expressed through spatial figures. Figures that are transformations of chosen, registered objects collected on journeys, including fragments of earlier works, remind us of them now. Put into a new context, they all become part of a new expression.
