At the summer exhibition at Norwegian Art Prosess, Ål, Inghild Karlsen shows “Captain Resting” photos taken on Svalbard in 1989. The images are of the interiors of a fisherman’s hut. She is transferring the emotion of borrowed objects, objects that belong to and are recognised in man’s surroundings, found in nature or manufactured. Objects like the whale bones.
