November
December 7 – 9, 2018
Performance with Tone Avenstroup at Theaterhaus Berlin Mitte (Berlin Mitte Theater House), Berlin, Germany
The November performance was also featured at Bomuldsfabriken Kunsthall, Arendal, Norway on December 16 of the same year.
“The mood is sombre. November. No doubt it will only get darker. Before the snow comes, memories fade away. There, behind the tree where lightning struck last year, the moon was shining—a glimpse of transience.”
November was a poetry reading performance featuring background electro music and an added pre-recorded voice by Rex Joswig.
Tone Avenstrup wrote the poems after capturing the images from this house in Norway. She always writes in both German and Norwegian, but keeps them apart. For this performance, she makes the words and the reading float together in a co-relationship.
